How to become Master Diver in the United States Navy

A master diver in the United States Navy is the highest level of warfare qualification a person can achieve in the diving industry. Enlisted persons have the greatest depth of knowledge, experience and training regarding all aspects and salvage. You must have at minimum 15 years of diving experience and have successfully completed a specialization course to be considered master diver. A specialization course can help you earn master diver status in the United States Navy.

PADI Master Scuba Diver

The PADI Master Scuba Diver scuba certification is a recognized level of scuba diving expertise. The program is offered by several North American dive training agencies such as the National Association of Underwater Instructors and the Professional Association of Diving Instructors. This course is considered the most prestigious level of dive certification. While completing the course, you will need to dive at least 30 feet under water.

NAUI Master Scuba Diver

If you're ready to move on to a higher level of scuba diving, then a NAUI Master Scuba Diver course might be right for you. The course is designed to give you the skills and knowledge you need to organize dives for other divers. You will learn how to use a compass, perform underwater communications, and recognize pre-panic signs. Additionally, you will learn how to take a dive in unfamiliar locations. This course includes both classroom sessions and open water dives.


NAUI Enriched Air (Nitrox) Diver

Taking the NAUI Enriched Air (NITX) Master Diver course is a great way to expand your diving experience. This course covers all aspects of enriched air diving including mixing Nitrox and Oxygen. The course teaches students how to analyze the breath mixture and how the physiology of nitrogen and oxygen affects the safety of handling the gases. In addition, they'll learn the concept of Equivalent Air Depth and common gas mixing techniques. An open water diver can also take the enriched course. It is a prerequisite for using the enriched mixture.

NAUI Rescue Scuba Diver

You must take the required courses to achieve your goal of becoming a NAUI Rescue Scuba Diver Master Diver Instructor. This certification is a requirement for the NAUI FIT training course. You will be able to become a professional NAUI instructor or leader. Take the Try Scuba program to get started. This program aims to provide you with the necessary skills and knowledge to safely dive in open sea.

NAUI First Aid Course

A NAUI First Aid course for master divers will prepare you to respond to a variety of emergencies that can arise in the water. The course includes refresher sessions as well as valuable information about new First Aid standards, training best practices, and other useful information. The NAUI First Aid course will give you the necessary knowledge to respond to an emergency without delay. You can also practice the skills you have learned in class by taking the course hands-on.
