The SSI Mermaid Certification can be obtained online. It is possible to complete the certification online at any time and from anywhere. There are two components to the certification. One is the practical part, and one is the online portion. The online portion can be completed on a laptop or computer. You can also use your smartphone for the practical part. Both iOS and Android smartphones can use the SSI App.
JODY PRATT
JODY PRATT has been a PADI Mermaid Instructor since 2005 and is a certified SSI Instructor Instructor Trainer. At just 15 years old, she began her diving career. She has earned several Specialty Instructor Ratings. She loves water and takes open water classes. JODY has also been certified as a Technical Rescue instructor trainer.
Michelle Forsbrey
Michelle Forsbrey is an avid surfer and swimmer. She loves the ocean. Her love of the ocean and beach inspired her to purchase a mermaid tail to use in her rehabilitation. She was a hit with children and adults alike when she wore the mermaidtail in a hotel pool.
Try Mermaid Experience
Whether you've always dreamed of being a mermaid or you're just curious about how the experience works, you've come to the right place. SSI offers a Try Mermaid Experience that allows you to swim underwater using mermaid fins. This course is designed for beginners. It will teach swimming underwater safely, using mermaid tail fins, holding your breath underwater, and more. The $15 you receive towards your full certification is yours after you complete your Try Mermaid Course.
Rusty
Rusty was brought up in New Orleans. He grew to be a citizen of the Atchafalaya basinin. It is the largest swamp in America, with 22 parishes. He has deep respect for the unique cajun culture because he has lived in the swamp. Rusty is a keen diver and enjoys spending time with his families, as well as cycling and underwater photography.
Niki
Niki Dawson has been a successful female entrepreneur. She enjoys diving in different parts of the globe. Micronesia has been her favorite place to dive. Niki loves all things travel, even diving.
Evi
Evi, a mermaid instructor/performer, teaches mermaid-tail swimming. Her first mermaid school was opened in March 2018 and has taught hundreds of guppies to swim using her tail. Evi and Naomi competed at the World Mermaid Championship. Her goal: To make children feel safe in the ocean.
