As a deep diver, you have the opportunity to dive to depths beyond those normally considered safe by the diving community. It could be because there are certain limits that have been set by local authorities. You may also have the chance to visit some of the most stunning underwater environments in the world, like the Galapagos and Elphinstone Reefs. Find out more about deep diving in these special locations.
Elphinstone Reef
Liveaboards are the best way to enjoy Elphinstone Reef. This location allows you to dive backwards. You will need to be confident with your backward roll. You'll have more opportunity to see sharks and other marine life during early morning dives, when there are fewer people in the water. Also, tropical fish are more common. A hawksbill turtle is also nearby.
Blue Hole in Belize
The Great Blue Hole (or Great Blue Hole) is a massive marine sinkhole just off the coast Belize. This stunning diving site can be found near Lighthouse Reef. The Great Blue Hole has a total surface area of 70.650 sq metres and is 124m below the waterline. Here, deep divers have the opportunity to see some of nature's most beautiful underwater scenes. This Belize dive destination is known for its cave-like setting and excellent visibility.

Galapagos
You can become a deep diver in Galapagos for a challenging but rewarding experience. Galapagos Islands are home to incredible marine life. Due to this, the water can be quite opaque. The cool season (June-November) is when the water temperature is cooler and the currents are stronger. This is the best time of year to dive in the Galapagos Islands. You don't have to be a pro at diving in the Galapagos. This guide can help you make an informed decision.
Elphinstone
For its beautiful soft corals and vibrant marine life, dive the Elphinstone Reef. The reef is 300 metres long and lies between 20 and 40 meters deep. It is covered by large gogonians, sponges and sea whips. The finger-shaped plateau is home to giant trevally and redtooth trevally. A hammerhead shark is possible, but it's rare and extremely elusive. This dive spot offers clear water and strong drift.
Belize Blue Hole
If you've ever dreamed about diving into the Caribbean Sea deep, you will have heard of the Great Blue Hole. It is located about 62 miles away from Belize's mainland. The Blue Hole is a nearly perfect circle hole. It is located at the Lighthouse Reef, about 125 m deep. Though snorkelers and scuba divers have been diving in the waters surface for decades, not many have attempted to explore the depths.
Elphinstone with his buddy group
If you're looking for a boat dive in Southern Egypt, try diving Elphinstone, also known as Elfinstone. This saltwater diving site is located at Marsa Alam. The maximum depth is 150 feet (46m). The visibility ranges from 61 to 70 feet (19 to 21 meters).
