Courses available
For those who want to be certified divers, there are many SDI courses. Open Water Diver Course teaches divers about the five specialties, and allows them to explore the waters to 40m. These courses may involve just one dive, or many. A limited-penetration course can be taken, which only requires three diving trips. The course will still be rewarding, regardless of whether you choose to do the former.
Prerequisites for sdi diving courses
There are different prerequisites to take SDI diving courses. These requirements will vary depending on which level of certification you wish. For example, a certified diver must have completed the Open Water Scuba Diver course. An SDI Assistant Instructor is a certification that allows a diver to add more training to his or her skill set. They are also qualified to supervise certified divers. In addition to being able to supervise certified divers, SDI instructors also undergo training to teach them the rudiments of diving.
Scuba diving courses cost
There are two main types of SDI diving courses: open water and advanced diver. Typically, advanced divers complete four specialty courses and log 25 dives in total. Depending on the course, students may choose from Night Diver, Drysuit Diver, Deep Diver, or Nitrox. Students can usually complete all four specialties within the same course.
