St Lucia has many diving options. The Anse Chastanet is where you'll find the most amazing dives. These dives are accessible to anyone who isn't used to scuba diving. They are 10-25 feet in length and contain some of the best corals.
Anse Chastanet Reef
Anse Chastanet is located on 600 acres of land with two beaches of volcanic black sand and beautiful coral reefs. The resort offers excellent scuba diving, snorkeling, and non-motorized water sports. Relax on the beach and take guided hikes. A chocolate laboratory and an organic farm are also located on the estate.
Ansechastanet has been awarded numerous awards including five Best-of-Readers' Choice awards. It is a great dive site for beginner divers as well as experienced divers. The reef has wrecks and wall diving. There is also boat diving. Night diving is popular at the Anse Chastanet.

Dani Koyomaru
Saint Lucia offers divers a range of diving options. There are two options for divers who want to dive in Saint Lucia: Rosemond's Trench is smaller but just as impressive; or deeper waters. This is a site known for its impressive coral formations and large schools of tropical seafood. You can also dive here to see the famous Saint Lucia coral reef system.
The Daini Koyomaru shipwreck is located a few miles further from the coast. In 1996, this Japanese dredger was sunk. Although the ship is partially submerged, the superstructure keeps the wreck upright. There are visible inscriptions in Japanese or other languages, and upturned decks can be seen.
Dani Koyomaru Dredger
Daini Koyomaru, an old Japanese fishing vessel, was dredged to its current location in 1996. It's a spectacular wreck to dive. It measures 74m in length and is approximately twenty-four meters high. The dredger can be sunk on its side and is now safe for experienced divers. Among its resident marine life are French angelfish, garden eels, moray eels, and barracudas.
Another popular St Lucia dive spot is the 165-foot cargo vessel Lesleen M. This Japanese dredger is also a popular one. The depths at this site are not very deep, but the reef is home a lot of fascinating creatures like scorpionfish, flying grunards, and even rays.

Soufriere Marine Management Area
The Soufriere Marine Management Area in St Lucia is an excellent place to dive and get close to the coral reefs. This marine management area was established to preserve the waters and foster a healthy ecosystem. It was founded in response to environmental degradation, conflict among resource owners, and other factors. SMMA was especially created due to conflict between local fishermen and divers.
Since 2004, the Soufriere-Pitons site has been a UNESCO World Heritage. It is protected as a nature preserve and hosts some of St Lucia's best diving. You will find many coral species here, and a lot of tropical fish. This area is also famous for its abundance of predators as well as cetaceans. Divers can also enjoy the beauty of the marine biodiversity.
