What is the difference between a wet and dry suit?

pool dive board

The major difference between a wet suit and a drysuit is how much water is allowed to enter the suit, close to the wearer's body. Your personal preference and your plans for participation will determine which wetsuit you choose. Ask yourself questions such a how long you are planning to be in the pool, what temperature it is, and what type of body you have.

Goretex dry suits

Fabric is a key distinction between GoreTex dry suits, and wetsuits. Non-GoreTex dry suits are less breathable and offer less comfort. New dry suit fabrics have been created, including waterproof andbreathable fabrics. Kokatat designed a dry suit using a Gore-Tex fabric that is durable and yet breathable. Kokatat's suits were the first to be developed and introduced to the market.

Trilaminate dry suits

The main difference between trilaminate dry suits and wet suits is the material used to make the outer shell. Trilaminate suits, while waterproof, lack insulation and generally light in weight. They also require a better fitting and are less flexible that trilaminate ones. This article will provide information on the main differences between wet and trilaminate suits as well as tips on how to choose which one is best for you.

Suits of IR

A wetsuit is more durable than a drysuit when it comes to keeping you dry. Dry suits keep you warm and prevent water from reaching your body. Additionally, dry suits often have purge valves. Dry suits are often used by Aircrews.
