Divers can learn valuable skills through a Dive Specialty. A Diver with a Specialty can learn to make every dive a better experience. This type of diver is often specialized in an area and can specialize in a specific kind of equipment. Enriched Air Nitrox EANx, Deep Scuba Diving, and Boat Diving are some examples of these specialties. Find out more about these diving specialties.

Enriched Air Nitrox

You can learn more about the benefits of enriched air by becoming a PADI Enriched Air Diver (Nitrox). This special course is independent, hands-on, and includes optional two nitrox diving. The course can either be completed online or offline. For this specialization, you will need a scuba tank that meets special oxygen service standards.

Underwater Photography

Dive is a wonderful way to learn and improve your photography skills. One of the many specialties in diving is underwater photography. You will learn the basics and techniques for underwater photography in this course. You will also learn about underwater lighting. The proper etiquette of underwater photography will be taught. The PADI eLearning course will help you learn about underwater photography and connect you with an instructor.


Boat Diving

PADI Boat Diver Specialty Courses are for anyone who is just starting to dive or wants to learn more about boat diving. You will learn about different types of dive boats and proper etiquette. Also, you will be taught how to properly pack your gear and enter and exit the boat. The course will also teach you about boat safety and how best to handle emergency situations while on the water.

Deep Scuba

There are many Deep Scuba diving specialty. Advanced Diver certified divers are already qualified and can take deeper dives. Deep Scuba divers need knowledge about the effects of pressure, breathing, and diving. As their body functions and systems get more exposed at deeper depths, deep-scuba divers will need to be aware of how they breathe and what it means for them. They must also be able to plan and carry out safe deep dives. Some specialties require additional training. There are however a few requirements for certification.

Navigation is a critical skill in scuba diving. You need to know how to navigate underwater. Navigation is important to a scuba diver, and learning to use the compass correctly is essential to this skill. You can practice underwater navigation in many ways, including using the compass and natural references.
