Advanced Scuba Rangers programme
The Advanced Scuba Rangers program allows students to advance their scuba diving skills and gain confidence in the water. The program also includes an optional single-day Ranger Specialty program.
Field trips to aquariums
Students from Pre-K through High School can benefit from educational programs offered by aquariums. These programs feature hands-on discovery, science investigations, structured lab activities, and live animal encounters. These programs are taught by Aquarium experts, and they support Next Generation Science Standards. These programs also include resources for teachers. Students can take an online course, watch a live presentation, or download a free online resource.
The National Aquarium is the top American aquarium. It provides solutions to protect marine life and human communities. Students can visit non-public areas to take part in narrated feedings. The Aquarium also provides free online classes for teachers and offers resources such as printable art and crafts. Students can also take a virtual tour of China's Great Wall of China with Zoom technology.
Teachers may also benefit from a free orientation. The orientation lasts about 60 minutes. It also includes a tour of the National Aquarium and information on its education programs. Instructors will learn how safe to use scuba equipment, regulators and masks, as well how to air-share. They will also learn about marine life and the importance to properly care for their equipment. After their orientation, students will be able to visit an aquarium and participate on an educational program.

Learning activities at the pool
Rangers also learn navigation skills and basic underwater search techniques. They also learn how to use a compass, grid, and square search to find treasures underwater. These skills will be practiced in the pool by Rangers. Once they have mastered each skill they can begin to learn how to swim a mile in water using their mask, fins, snorkel and snorkel. Rangers learn to use basic first aid, and how to spot signs of stress or trouble when diving.
Perform a front and back flip under water without depleting your body. Candidates will need to take a face mask off the pool floor and use it to perform five underwater bobs. To fail to complete a full bob, you will need to drop the mask or break the restraints.
