Master Scuba Diver certification is a wonderful option for those who love to dive and want to further their skills. This certification can be obtained by several North American diving training agencies. These include the National Association of Underwater Instructors (PAI), Professional Association of Diving Instructors (Scuba Diving International).

NAUI Master Scuba Diver

The NAUI Master Scuba Diver Certificate is the most sought-after certification in recreational dive. This course requires students do an introductory scuba diver, at minimum two open-water diving and a rescue diver. The program is an ongoing education opportunity that emphasizes classroom discussions, practical application, student participation, and student involvement. Students must complete E-learning courses prior to their first session, as well as complete a minimum of 23 hours of classroom study with an instructor. This course covers topics such as deep diving, diving physics, search and retrieval, and equipment. Students must pass an exam that tests their water skills, similar to those required by a NAUI Assistant Instructor.

The SSI Master Scuba Diver Rating is the most prestigious level of recreational diving. It combines skill development with knowledge and experience. The qualification allows recreational divers to look up to scuba divers. A diver must have taken at least 4 specialty courses, and logged more than 50 diving hours to be eligible for this elite rating.
